My favourite day of the year just got better! We can now extend the celebration of #NoDietDay by pledging to step off the scale for the month of May. Terrifying, I know.  But, keep reading...

No Diet Day

Ditching diet culture is hard. We've been told so many times that weight is a proxy for health. Healthy weight = healthy body, right? If only it were that simple! And the scale is the biggest obstacle when trying to move away from diet culture.  And terrifying!

Health can't be defined by a number. Health is a path you choose, not a destination.  And along that path, you can make many choices, including what and when you eat, how you move your body and what choices align with your values. You get to decide what makes your body feel good, not diets and food rules.

And we know that dieting takes a toll on our mental health, with several studies finding that depression and anxiety are often reported amongst dieters.
