Emotional eating isn’t the villain we’ve been told it is.

It’s not inherently problematic when people have other ways to regulate emotions.

So what is the problem?

Shame.

If you can’t stop thinking about food, it’s not because you lack discipline.

It’s because your brain is trying to tell you something.

In perimenopause and menopause, cravings can feel more intense.

I’ve been getting these for YEARS. And every time, I come back to the same thing: show me the research.

We’ve spent 30+ years trying to fix our bodies with food rules. What if we spent the next 30 trusting them instead? 😊

That shift from “what should I eat?” to “what does my body need right now?”
This is going to make some people uncomfortable...

And that’s ok.🙌

Any discussion of capacity that doesn’t include how the mental load is carried disproportionately by women (~70%) isn’t giving you the whole picture.
